color and texture, her paintings explore memory and absence, where each mark preserves the resonance of time.
Painting in beeswax, dry pigments, and the endless possibilities that this media offers allows her to extract images from the real world as well as the imaginary corners of her mind.

Marisa considers herself a late bloomer as an artist; she only began painting a few years ago. The moment she discovered that she could create images by allowing herself to be guided, not only by her imagination, but also bringing to the surface what was being revealed on its own.
